Privacy

This site collects little. There is no advertising and nothing that follows you from one site to the next. One thing needs your permission, and it asks before it runs. Below is the whole of it.

The free tools collect nothing

The weight cut calculator and the supplement check run entirely inside your browser. Your weight, your division, your fight date and your answers about a product are never sent anywhere. Close the tab and they are gone. Nothing to store, nothing to leak, nothing to ask me to delete.

The enquiry form

If you send an enquiry, I receive your name, email address, the service you selected, any date you gave and your message. The form also records which page of this site you sent it from and, if you arrived from a search engine or another site, which one. Nothing is stored on your device for this. I use it to answer you and, if we work together, to do the work.

The form is processed by Netlify, which hosts this site, and the message is delivered to my email at Google. I keep enquiries as long as they are useful for the work or for my records, and delete them on request.

The checklist sign-up

The checklist and the certification guide are free to download on this site. If you also subscribe to the monthly email, your email address is held by Substack, the newsletter service I use, and you receive one email a month: the month's weight misses, one practical piece on making weight, and any rule change that affects fighters. Substack sends the emails on my behalf and handles your address under its own privacy policy.

The sign-up page belongs to Substack and opens on Substack's own site, so nothing from Substack runs on this one. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or write to the address below and I will remove you.

The tennis checklist is still sent through a form processed by Netlify, which hosts this site, and the address is delivered to my email at Google. To come off that list, reply to any email I send.

The camp tracker

The camp tracker on the weight cut calculator saves your camp and the weights you enter in your browser's storage, on your own device. Nothing is sent to this site or to anyone else, and there is no account. Delete it with the button on the calculator, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you add the tracker to your home screen as Camp2Scale, the page itself is stored on your device so it opens without a connection. Removing the icon and clearing this site's data removes it.

The app opens at /tools/camp/ with a mark in the address that tells my analytics the visit came from the app rather than from search. It carries nothing about you and nothing you entered, and analytics only runs at all if you allowed it.

Working together

If you become a client, you will send me information about your body, your training and sometimes health information relevant to it, such as injuries or medications that matter for anti-doping. I treat it as confidential. I do not sell it, trade it, or share it with anyone, brands, promoters and your opponent's team included. If your coach or federation is part of the arrangement, that is agreed with you in advance.

Payments

Payments for services are handled by a third-party payment processor. Card details are entered on their page, not on this site. I never see or store a card number. Guides sold on Gumroad are processed by Gumroad under their own terms.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, their servers keep standard technical logs, including the IP address of the device making the request. This happens for every website on the internet, and I do not use those logs for tracking.

Counting visits

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people open each page and where they arrived from. It records the page, the referring link, the browser and the country. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile, and cannot tell one visitor from another. Cloudflare states that the country is worked out from the IP address without the address being stored.

This one runs for every visitor. It needs no permission because it stores nothing on your device.

Google Analytics

On your first visit a bar appears at the bottom of the screen with two buttons.

Accept, and the site loads Google Analytics. It sets cookies that tell a returning reader from a new one, and it records which pages you opened, how far down you scrolled, and which links took you off the site. Google acts as my processor for that data. I read it to answer one question: which articles send people to the guides, and which lose them on the first screen.

Decline, and nothing loads. The Google script is never fetched, no cookie is set, and your browser makes no request to Google at all. The code checks your answer first and stops there.

Google Signals is switched off on my account, so nothing here is joined to your Google profile or used to build advertising audiences.

Cookies

Google Analytics is the only thing on this site that sets them, and only once you have accepted it. Decline and this site sets none.

Your answer stays on your own device, not on my server. To change it, open this page with ?cookies=reset at the end of the address and the bar comes back.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to fokaoleksandr@gmail.com and I will answer. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

The tools and services on this site are for adults. They are not intended for anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears here.
